I have traditionally been into metal and the like, but I have always loved hip-hop songs that make me laugh and want to dance.
Lately, due to my bunk-mate here at work not wanting to listen to Mudvayne all day, I have gotten into Amy Winehouse, Duffy, Adele, Regina Spektor, Sia, Lily Allen, Corrinne Bailey Rae, and I have always liked Garbage, Poe and Fiona Apple. There is always something to be said for those who not only can "really sing" but have thoughtful lyrics. Many of these ladies have actually fairly dark lyrics, which drew me in.

Old school post-punk art school types: Bauhaus and spin offs, Alien Sex Fiend, Siouxsie, the like. I like old metal like BOC, first generation Black Sabbath, prior to the rise of hair bands. Old left coast punk like DK. The eighties Boston scene: Throwing Muses and Pixies. Pink Floyd and Queen. Momus. Takako Minekawa, Buffalo Daughter, that Nipponese scene.
Nick Cave is a god.
Lately, I've been flipping back and forth between Dresden Dolls, an awesome steampunk comp by DJ Fact.50 of Vernian Process called An Age Remembered and You Can't Stop the Bum Rush by Len. Talk about a contrasting experience...
Ask me later and I'll give you twenty more things.
Er. You might say my tastes are ... um ... varied.

At least I am not a Brittney fan like someone I know
