Why is it: 1) Gay to like the Smiths? 2) Bad to be gay? 3) Bad to like the Smiths? I'm not very tolerant of using gay as a negative epithet. I'm much more tolerant of geek and nerd. Of course, goth and vampire are beyond redemption and will be used as negatives well into the foreseeable future.
