We watched punisher warzone, I didnt enojoy it as much as the one with thomas jane, but I guess it wasnt too bad, whiel watching it I just felt like the movie had ripped off other movies, almost like I was watching one of those god awful "scary movies" where they take a bunch of movies into one?? ya know? I dont know what the political term is sorry . Maybe they shouldnt have called it a punisher film idk. We also watched Y.p.f (young people fucking) previews looked funny so we thought we would give it a shot, It was a story that followed four or five couples over a one night period and they break up the night into chapters like, ummm ha cant remember all many except for, foreplay, interlude, sex, orgasm and refection or somthing like that honestly it was pretty boring and after the sex and orgasm chapters we feel asleep lol ( go figure

Heavy Metal in Baghdad
Another "real life" horror show. This documentary is not to be missed. It's about Acrassicauda, the only heavy metal band in Iraq. These guys are so awesome. All the folks here think we have troubles and problems in realizing our dreams. These guys had their rehearsal space bombed by a rocket. Enough said. See this film, if you can. It, um, rocks!
Moulin Rouge
Love it! Not horror, except that of the broken heart. Seen it many times, saw it again. Oh, Ewan! Sigh. The costume designer must still get hot just thinking about this film. Quite possibly the most lushly costumed film I've ever seen, though the drinking straw wig and plastic grape wig from Priscilla... are still the gold standard!
The Pianist
I missed this at the cinema because of wee baby + pregnant and just never could get out. I love Adrian Brody (oh, boy, I could watch that one all day long, sigh) and there it was on cable and so I thought, "Now is the time." Definitely a horror movie! Lots of death, destruction, starvation and survival. Like the dudes in Acrassicauda, music is the tool of survival. I wonder if I'd ever care for music again if I saw my family loaded onto a train and I never saw them again.
Warlock
I saw this film years ago, due to the presence of Julian Sands. I remembered it sucked but I thought, well, maybe it didn't really suck and it has Julian Sands and there it is on FearNet so "Why not?" I'll tell you why: It still sucks.

What would not suck: Cocktails with Ewan McGregor, Adrian Brody and Julian Sands!

I love Moulin Rouge. Funny story, my Senior English teacher and me used to talk movies alot. Nobody else in the classes ever had the same sense of movies that I did. Needless to say we wanted to plan a field trip to the Moulin Rouge in France. That was until we saw the prices....naw just kidding we still wanted to go!

Warlock III
See earlier post regarding Warlock I. This one: Better hair and makeup, weaker plot and acting. I missed Julian.
Wordplay
Great documentary about the NYT crossword puzzle and its fans. Will Shortz features prominently. If you don't know who Will Shortz is, you probably don't care about this film. Famous folks, like Bill Clinton and Jon Stewart are interviewed regarding their love for the NYT crossword. Nerds like me will love this film.
Hometown Baghdad
Another in the unending series of Iraq documentaries. This one was very moving. It's just about young people trying to be young people: play basketball, swim, go to class. One day one of the guys can't get to a test because there's a firefight on his street and so he fails and has to repeat it. Another day, they're all headed to a park to play basketball and have to hide along the way because gunfire erupts. Then another time they are out shopping for a backpack and a car bomb goes off. See it and then try to feel sorry for yourself.

You know I watched Twilight and I have to say it was alot better than what I thought it was going to be. I still think the whole "shimmer" thing is a bit gay. And yes! I do mean that in a derogatory manner!! Nice re working of the Vampire Mythos.

Molly Hartly agreed!! Twilight: I don't care! The words "shimmer" and "vampire" should never be said in the same sentence. All be it still it had a good plot.

Watched the Dunwich Horror last night. My past experienecs with anything based on Lovecraft has been less than stellar outside of Dagon. I am a huge Lovecraft fan, having read all of his work and several non Lovecraft stories based on the Cthuhlu mythos. I will have to say I highly enjoyed Dunwich Horror. It was modernized, which at first didnt please me, but in the end, it didnt hurt the story. It stayed rather faithful to the original story, and the presence of Dean Stockwell only added to my enjoyment of this film. If you are a fan of Lovecraft, I say give it a shot.
